For the Big Sandy Heritage Museum. Saturday, October 24th at 10:20 a.m., but doors open at 9:30 a.m. for a preview. This event will be held at the Appalachian Wireless Arena in Pikeville, Kentucky. 

Up for auction is antique furniture and household items from the historic Creekmore Mansion at Pikeville. This Estate dates back to one of Pikeville's earliest business leaders, John Dils, Jr. who established riverboat trade on the Big Sandy in the mid 19th Century. Dils' son-in-law, James York was the attorney who represented Randolph McCoy during the Hatfield McCoy feud. Included in the sale are York's leather-bound books some of which are engraved with his name.
